Programmatic Approvals and Recognitions
MedQuest College’s Medical Assisting and Dental Assisting program are recognized by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) Association. Graduates of the medical assisting program are eligible to sit for the Registered Medical Assisting (RMA) exam, credentialed by the AMT.
The Dental Assisting program is recognized by the Kentucky Board of Dentistry. Upon graduation, dental assisting students are eligible to sit for the Registered Dental Assisting (RDA) exam.
The Practical Nursing program is in initial status with the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Graduates of the PN program may sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), developed by the The National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
The Veterinary Technology program submitted an application for accreditation through the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) which has been accepted. A site visit has been scheduled to determine accreditation status. Upon accreditation of the program, graduates can apply to take the Veterinary Technology National Examination (VTNE) through the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB). Upon successful completion of the national examination, students will be eligible to submit for licensure by the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners (KBVE).
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is recognized by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Upon completion of the Sonography program, graduates can apply to take the primary pathway certification and registry through the to become either a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDC) for those in the Echocardiography specialty, or a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) for those in the vascular specialty. In addition, graduates are eligible to sit for the Sonography Principals and Instrumentation (SPI) exam which is administered through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Once students graduate and pass the CCI exam, they are immediately eligible to take the ARDMS specialty exam in their chosen field of study and will be awarded the credential of either RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) respectively.
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Adult Cardiac program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon the recommendation of Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS). 9355 – 113th St. N, #7709 Seminole, FL 33775 727-210-2350.
The Medical Equipment Repair Technology program is recognized by the Kentucky Association for Medical Instrumentation (KAMI). Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology from the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI).
The program in Dental Hygiene is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and has been granted the accreditation status of “initial accreditation.” The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.
