Take The Free Quiz

Have you ever wanted to work in the medical field, but are not sure where to start? Becoming a Medical Assistant is a great first step and is a rewarding position to consider. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics expects the demand to grow 29% by 2022! MedQuest College recently began this program in October of 2013 and is equipped with the latest tools and technology for our students. There is a campus conveniently located in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Comprehensive Medical Assisting program gives students an opportunity to use skills that will lead to a career in any physician’s office or immediate care center. During their courses, students learn and practice a variety of duties such as taking vital signs, assisting in minor procedures (removing sutures, stitches, etc.), scheduling patients, billing and coding procedures, phlebotomy, and so much more!

MedQuest College provides hands-on training both in and out of the classroom. Students are in class four days a week for only four hours a day! There are three different schedules so that students can find the one that works best for them. Let’s be honest, 16 hours a week for 10 months and you leave this program with everything you need to be successful in this field and ahead of the competition! What more could you ask for? Your externship is incorporated into the last quarter of classes, so two days a week you will meet for class, and the other two days you will be completing your 180 hour externship. Externships are carried out in an actual physician’s practice where students get to apply what they have learned in the classroom on actual patients under supervision of the doctor and their staff. Upon completion of the program, graduates work with the Director of Placement, who assists students with finding jobs by helping create a resume and cover letter, putting together a portfolio of their diploma and certifications, going through mock interviews, and lining up job leads. MedQuest College is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).

The Medical Assisting program at MedQuest College is affordable and easy to enroll in. Applicants should have at least a high school diploma or a GED equivalent. There are morning, afternoon and evening class options that can work with almost any schedule. There are only 3 classes offered a year and the next class is an Afternoon class from 1pm-5pm Monday through Thursday, so you can’t afford to wait! Invest in your future and enroll today!
