According to CNBC and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, healthcare employment is projected to grow 16% over the next decade and add about 2.6 million new jobs to the economy.
A Student Dream Realized
Last year, we heard from MedQuest College graduate Angela King.
Going back to school while working and raising a family was hard.
There were days that it was hard to juggle everyone’s schedules,” she said.
“One terrible day, they pulled me out of class to tell me they had received a call and that my father was dying. I had to leave immediately for Florida.
Of course, that was a terrible week and a hard setback at school.
But I found so much support. My teachers were there for me. My peers became close friends.
At 40 years old, I feel like my career has really started and I’m doing a job that I love and provides for my family. I’m so proud that my kids got to see me do this. I got to show them that anything is possible if you work hard. Going back to school isn’t to be taken lightly – but the rewards are great.
Why is Education Important?
If we’ve learned anything in the last two years, it’s that people want to feel like their work is making a difference in the community and in the lives of their friends, loved ones and neighbors. And when it comes to education as a new year resolution – it’s possible with MedQuest.
Healthcare is one of the few fields that’s a secure – and rapidly growing – job market. There is always a need for highly skilled healthcare workers. In addition, health care is flexible and offers different paths for different personalities and fields of interest.
If you want a quiet environment, you consider becoming a sonographer, where you use ultrasound technology to examine hearts. If you enjoy a more active atmosphere, the emergency room might be a great fit for you with a degree in Licensed Practical Nursing.
Education as New Year Resolution with MedQuest College
The career training programs offered by MedQuest College are designed to prepare students for successful careers in healthcare.
MedQuest College offers six programs to help students find their career pathway in medicine. Practical nursing, dental assisting and medical assisting can be completed in less than a year and put graduates to work in medical settings in just a few months. Medical equipment repair, sonography and the veterinary technician program require more training and take two years to complete.
