Enrollment is increasing, people want to help. Back to school time is now!

If the last year has taught us anything, it’s that people want to feel like they can make a difference. Are you considering going back to school?

Healthcare is one of the few fields that’s a secure – and growing – job market. People need healthcare in good economies and bad ones. In addition, health care is flexible and offers different paths for different personalities and fields of interest.

If you want a quiet environment, you might consider becoming a sonographer, where you use ultrasound to examine hearts. If you enjoy a more energetic atmosphere, the emergency room might be a great fit for you with a degree in comprehensive Medical Assisting.

If you’re working in health care, you will save lives. MedQuest College can help you get there.

Back to School: Pandemic Ready

While the arrival of vaccines has greatly reduced the worries surrounding Covid-19 and work in a hospital setting, many MedQuest students have spent the last year masking up to safely be part of the solution and will continue to be integral parts of the healthcare field around the region.

Recent Medical Assisting graduate Jasmine Mills is excited to be entering the field at a time when health care workers are needed.

“This graduation is the milestone to jumpstart the biggest achievement of my life.” Jasmine is working in the healthcare field before she goes back to school at Oklahoma State as a premed major. “I’m a little nervous, but so excited,” she added.

MedQuest prepares students for careers in healthcare, offering degrees and certificates in Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting, Practical Nursing, Sonography, Veterinary Technology and Medical Equipment Repair Tech.

Achieving Job Security in Healthcare

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, healthcare employment jobs are projected to grow 15% from 2019 to 2029 – much faster than the average for all occupations.

More than 2.4 million jobs are anticipated, largely due to an aging population and a greater demand for healthcare services.

Communication with colleagues, a positive attitude and time management skills are paramount to standing out. Plus, being eager to learn and grow is helpful.

Heading Back to School: Virtual and Hands-On Tools

MedQuest has been a longtime leader in virtual education, offering online and in-person courses. Students can continue to work in their current jobs while at MedQuest. Plus, MedQuest offers career services and job placement assistance to graduates for life.

New research suggests what we’ve known for years – that collaborative education is the future. The interactive teaching tools we use also include a virtual simulator. Simulations provide real-world scenarios for students, offering assessments that consider how patients may think and feel, training graduates to multitask and be ready for whatever they may encounter on the job.

If you have questions about virtual and in-person courses and classes at MedQuest College, reach out to request information or schedule your virtual tour. We’re here to help you go back to school.
